St. Croix Stories
Nichole and Rick Frazer, Black Rooster Bistro
The already impressive food scene in Hudson was made even stronger with Rick and Nichole Frazer opened Black Rooster Bistro in the old Winter Stube space in 2022. The timing was right for Rick — the former chef at The St. Paul Grill — and Hudson native Nichole to fulfill Rick's dream of opening a restaurant in the town in which he lived.
On this week's episode of St. Croix Stories, Nichole and Rick talk about the journey that led them to opening Black Rooster Bistro — a journey that began when they met while working at the same restaurant in Woodbury. They also discuss the pressure that came with taking over after Hudson staple Winzer Stube closed for good, share the importance of supporting and partnering with other local businesses, and much more.
Stop by Black Rooster Bistro at 516 2nd Street downtown Hudson, Wisconsin.
